After the launch in China last month, the Infinix Zero Flip is scheduled to launch in India on October 17. This debut marks a significant step for the company as the smartphone will enter a limited market of foldables. The Infinix Zero Flip is expected to compete with the Motorola Razr 50 and the Techno Phantom V Flip 5G. But the standout expectations of this upcoming device will be its affordability without compromising on the features. As the launch inches closer, Infinix has confirmed a few details. Let’s take a deeper look.
The company has confirmed that the smartphone will feature a 3.65-inch AMOLED cover screen. The glass is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It has also been revealed that the Infinix Zero Flip will sport a 6.9-inch AMOLED internal display. Both the cover and the internal display have a 120Hz refresh rate. On the design front, the Infinix Zero Flip has a slim and sleek body, thanks to a 7.64mm thickness. As per the company, the phone is not only compact but is also very light, weighing 195g. It is designed to flip anywhere between 30 degrees to 150 degrees. The phone is available in two colour options—Blossom Glow and Rock Black—providing users with both vibrant and understated design choices.
The Infinix Zero Flip boasts a powerful dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS for stabilised images and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens for expansive shots. Selfies are expected to be elevated with a 50-megapixel front camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, ensuring high-quality footage. The teaser page has also revealed that the camera will be equipped with several AI features, including Eraser tool, Portrait enhancer, Focus and AI-powered Gallery.
Barring these details, the company has not revealed any other information. However, the rumours have been churning since the launch in China. The Infinix Zero Flip was first launched in selected global markets, including China. According to the company, it features a zero-gap hinge and has a minimal screen crease, enhancing the durability and smoothness of the foldable display. The global launch unveiled that the Infinix Zero Flip features a combination of a compact form factor when folded while delivering a large, immersive display when opened, perfect for multitasking and entertainment. Looking at the details, it is expected that the Indian variant will be the same as the global variant.
The speculations are that it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, and is equipped with up to 16GB of RAM, which includes virtual RAM. The device also supports up to 512GB of internal storage, providing ample space for apps, media, and files. These specifications make it a powerful option in the foldable smartphone market, delivering high-end performance and an immersive display experience.
The Infinix Zero Flip has been priced at $600 (roughly Rs 50,000) for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. But, in India, it has been speculated that Infinix’s first flip phone will be priced below Rs 45,000. This anticipation is based on the pricing of its competition. The Motorola Razr 50 was launched at Rs 64,999, but currently during the sale period, the device is priced below Rs 50,000.
